Under the "Driving Women Economic Empowerment Programme", supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office –Kaarvan and the British Asian Trust, an exhibition was organized to bring the potential of women within low-income communities to build their confidence, enhance participation in local decision-making and enable them to make meaningful connections with relevant markets for their products and services. A group of students from the department visited the Emporium Mall to attend the exhibition, dated 10th Feb and learnt about Uraan, providing a platform to rural women entrepreneurs to connect with urban market retailers for the growth of their business.
